New, fresh, on the wire

I look to the world around me for fresh inspiration, and each project I work on is a unique and fulfilling experience. With years of experience and love of the written word, I relish the opportunity to share a good story... I've been called the modern-day Scheherazade.

Beatchik Unabridged was many years in the making, both the living and the writing of it.  For years, I've told my family and friends (those who weren't there for the highlights) the stories of my adventurous youth.  Finally, after many false starts, I've gotten the stories down on "paper".  The stories are all true (though the names have been altered to protect the not-so-innocent).  I've tried to preserve the authenticity of story telling in the voice of one who has lived it.  Happy reading.

Its been one of the great art mysteries in modern history.  What really happened to Vincent van Gogh? Did he shoot himself, as the world at large believes, or, was he murdered by the crazy-as-a-fox Dr. Gachet, as some believe?  But why would Dr. Gachet kill the goose that laid the golden egg?  For one, love.  His daughter Marguerite was in love with Vincent, and, Vincent was in love with her.  Vincent's Wife follows art expert Lisa Holbein as she delves into the complicated life of the Gachet's and Vincent van Gogh during the last three months of the artists life.  What Lisa learns is what you've always been led believe about Vincent, may just be a lie to protect the not-so-innocent.

"Speaking as one of the many waifs who washed up on the doorstop of the great Prescott Townsend, it was fated that I should meet Rene, there in Boston at 15 Lindall Place in the Sixties.  Memories of him tinged with scents of Gauloise and patchouli.  He could whip up a perfect soufflé.  He was our barbed genius and, alas, for those stung by one of his quills, although I was not one of them-- rather, I was pleasured to sleep with him once upon a night when we were young-- he was our very own enfant terrible... surely one never to be outdone!"... Eric, February 14, 2014, upon learning of Rene's death.
